FEFCO was formed in 1952 to defend European interests corrugated manufacturers.
When talking about cardboard boxes, so there are generally about FEFCO types, or that a board design has a specific code FEFCO

FEFCO is short for “Fédération européenne des fabricants de carton ondulé ‘and is an international standard for corrugated structures FEFCO introduced in 1952

The Code defines how the tabs should be, or the punch oir grooving should be done, what kind of closure, etc., so that buyers and sellers can reach agreement on what we code is being sold. This code helps in making detailed descriptions and to avoid misunderstandings
